Gudja United returned to winning ways as an early goal by Andre Prates handed them a narrow win over Valletta at the National Stadium on Sunday.
This win puts Gudja in joint-fifth place together with Mosta, two points behind third-placed Birkirkara and Gzira and one ahead of Floriana. Valletta, on the other hand, remain ninth on 15 points from twelve matches.
Gudja scored the all-important goal on the 5th minute when off a corner from the right by Ayrton Azzopardi, the ball was headed in the direction of Andre Prates who hit home from close range past goalkeeper Alessandro Guarnone.
