Malta international player Joseph Mbong was officially unveiled as a Hamrun Spartans player after cutting short his loan spell with Hapoel Kiryat Shmona in Israel.

A product of Hibernians, Mbong made his Premier League debut for the Paolites in 2014/15. He had a short spell with NK Inter Zapresic in Croatia in the latter part of season 2016/17. Mbong joined Hamrun in summer 2020 but was loaned to Kiryat Shmona last summer.
