Frank Schembri names women’s Under-19 squad ahead of friendly match

Women’s Under-19 national team coach Frank Schembri has named a squad of 24 players for the next international friendly match against the Catania Under-19 side on Monday at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 13:30.

Three new players have been given their first WU19 call up, namely Erika Muscat, Kaysia Micallef and Ema Micallef, all born in 2007.  Seven of the 24 players select hail from the Raiders Lija team, with six coming from Swieqi United and five from Birkirkara.  San Gwann is represented by three players whilst Mgarr United has two and Hibernians is represented in the WU19 team by one player.

The training schedule for the WU19 national team kicks off on Thursday 9th February.
