Francesco Macri names final Under-21 squad ahead of Slovakia friendlies

The Malta Under-21 national coach Francesco Macri has finalized his squad of players ahead of the first Slovakia friendly in programme on Friday at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 14:00.

The squad has been trimmed from 26 to 22 players as the team has undertaken one final training drill on Thursday afternoon ahead of Friday’s game.

This double header against Slovakia will serve as a valuable test for the Under-21 side ahead of the next competition that gets underway in September with Spain, Belgium, Scotland, Hungary, and Kazakhstan all pitted in Group B with Malta following the draws which were held in Nyon last month.
