Pieta’ Hotspurs bid farewell to the Premier League with a goalless draw with Sirens at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.
The Hotspurs therefore ended their commitments at the bottom of the BOV Premier League table. Sirens, on the other hand, finished ninth as they extended their positive run to six matches.
The St. Paul’s Bay side created the better chances, going close with a Ricardo Correa effort which was blocked by Cini who later managed to block an attempt by Vaikainah. The Hotspurs replied with a Hovhannisyan effort which was blocked into a corner. During the second half, shots by Hovhannisyan and Zerafa were neutralised by Matthew Grech.
