The Futsal Malta Association announced that the Enemed Futsal Awards, an event that will bring the futsal season to an end will be held on May 17 with the collaboration of Enemed.
During a press conference on Monday, Futsal Malta Association president Mark Borg listed a number of achievements during this season including the introduction of the national under-19 squad in the league, the organization of Enemed Women’s Futsal Tournaments and the historic milestone by Luxol St. Andrews in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, reaching the Elite Round among the best 16 teams in Europe.
Apart from winning the honours achieved by Luxol St. Andrews (Premier League champions) and St.George’s FC (Challenger League champions), the Enemed Futsal Awards will celebrate the success of the players in the various categories including;
- Most promising player;
- The Best Maltese Futsal player;
- Premier and Challenger Championship top scorers;
- Best Goalkeeper;
- The Best Coach;
- The Best Premier and Challenger Championship players.
- The President’s Award will also be given for the first time.
Engineer Alan Micallef, Chief Corporate Officer of Enemed, spoke about the support that Enemed gives to sports associations in order to reach their goals and expand their activity to reach new sectors.
The Commercial Head of Enemed Cynthia Mifsud also spoke about Enemed’s satisfaction for the valuable work that the Futsal Malta Association is doing and stated that Enemed is committed to continue supporting the association in its development.
