Newly-promoted Sliema Wanderers secured the services of Malta international defender Jean Borg.

The twenty-five year old defender, who had played for Attard and Pieta’ Hotspurs at youth level, joined Valletta in 2013/14, making his Premier League debut the following season. He had played for the Citizens since then before joining Fidelis Andria in the Serie C last January.

The Wanderers had already signed Samuel Gomes da Mata from Gudja United.
