Ukraine name squad ahead of North Macedonia, Malta qualifiers

The Ukrainian Association of Football named the squad ahead of the two matches from the European Qualifiers against North Macedonia in Skopje and Malta in Trnava, Slovakia on June 16 and 19 respectively.

Ahead of these matches, Ukraine will also play a friendly match against Germany in Bremen.

The association said that the name of the new head coach of the Ukrainian national team will be officially announced shortly. Ruslan Rotan led the team in the game against England.

The selected players are:

Goalkeepers: Georgy Bushchan (Dynamo Kyiv), Anatoly Trubin (Shakhtar Donetsk), Andriy Lunin (Real Madrid, Spain).

Defenders: Mykola Matvienko, Valery Bondar, Yukhim Konoplia (all — Shakhtar Donetsk), Oleksandr Timchik (Dynamo Kyiv), Oleksandr Svatok (SK Dnipro-1 Dnipro), Vitaly Mikolenko (Everton, England) , Ilya Zabarniy (Bournemouth, England), Eduard Sobol (Strasbourg, France), Serhii Krivtsov (Inter Miami, USA).
