Valletta FC secured the services of Colombian thirty one year old central defender Juan Andres Bolanos Ramírez.

After playing for CD Academia FC in Colombia, Bolanos played for CD Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba in Argentina, Tianjin Tianhai in China, FBC Melgar in Peru and Platense FC in Honduras before moving to Malta in summer 2019 to join Gudja United. In summer 2021, he returned to Honduras to join CD Honduras Progreso but re-joined Gudja in the January 2022 transfer window.
