Women’s Under-17s drawn with Croatia, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan

The Malta Women’s Under-17 national team will be facing Croatia, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan after being drawn in Group B3 of the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship Round 1 mini-tournament in Autumn. The draw was held on Friday and has set the groups for the first stage of the 2023/24 edition.

Malta is making a comeback after missing the last two editions of the competition. Their last participation was in the 2019 season, held in Belarus.

The six group winners and the runners-up with the best record against the teams placing first and third in their group will be promoted.

League A

Group A1: Spain, Portugal, Czechia, Bosnia and Herzegovina 

Group A2: Poland, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Iceland

Group A3: France (holders), Slovenia, Italy, Scotland

Group A4: Germany, Romania, Austria, Ukraine

Group A5: Switzerland, Netherlands, Finland, Bulgaria

Group A6: England, Belgium, Hungary, Northern Ireland

Group A7: Sweden (final tournament hosts), Denmark, Belarus, Greece

League B

Group B1: Kosovo, North Macedonia, Georgia, Armenia 

Group B2: Serbia, Israel, Andorra, Latvia

Group B3: Croatia, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Malta

Group B4: Wales, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Albania

Group B5: Slovakia, Montenegro, Lithuania
