Gzira United secured the services of Colombian twenty four year old central defender Farid Romero Zuniga.

Romero played for Perafita and CF Serzedo in Portugal before moving to Malta. He joined Santa Lucia in summer 2019 but the following season, he moved to Naxxar Lions. Last summer, he joined Gudja United.

The Maroons had earlier signed Carlos da Silva Conceição Filho and Jose Wilkson Teixeira Rocha.
