Valletta secured the services of Brazilian twenty-nine year old winger Diego Cardoso Nogueira.

Cardoso played for Santos, Bragantino, Villa Nova, Guarani and Botafogo before a spell with Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria. He then returned to Brazil where he played for Operario, Sao Caetano, Volta Redonda, Sampaio Correa, XV Piracicaba, Retro and Confianca.

The Citizens had earlier signed Juan Bolanos, Federico Dario Jose Vega, Fernando Omar Barrientos, Victor Luiz Prestes Filho and Neil Anthony Micallef.
