Sliema Wanderers sign Vito Plut

Sliema Wanderers secured the services of Slovenian thirty-five year old forward Vito Plut.

Plut played for NK Kolpa, FC Koper, NK Maribor and ND Gorica in native Slovenia, he moved to Belgium where he played for Waasland Beveren. He then spent one year with 1.FC Saarbrucken in Germany before moving to Malta to join Floriana in summer 2014. The following season, Birkirkara managed to secure his services, spending two years with the club. In 2017, he joined FSV Frankfurt in Germany but in summer 2020, Plut moved back to Malta to join Tarxien Rainbows. The following season, he played for Santa Lucia, moving to Gudja United last season.

The Wanderers had earlier signed Jean Borg, Samuel Gomes da Mata, Gustavo Alcino, Israel Duarte dos Santos, Denis Kouao and Joseph Minala.
