The Malta FA Protests Board has upheld a protest filed by Ta’ Xbiex in relation to their IZIBET Amateur League Group B match against Vittoriosa Stars, which took place on September 18 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
The match originally ended in a 5-1 victory for Vittoriosa Stars. However, the outcome of the game was subsequently contested by Ta’ Xbiex.
The protest was based on the fact that Vittoriosa Stars exceeded the number of registered non-homegrown players.
Following the decision of the Protests Board, Ta’ Xbiex have been awarded the three points for the fixture in question. The result now stands at 3-0 in favour of Ta’ Xbiex SC.
