The much-anticipated TipSport Malta Cup 2024 got underway on Wednesday, marking the 6th edition of this prestigious football tournament held in Malta. Supported by VisitMalta, the TipSport Malta Cup showcases top talent from four outstanding teams, creating an exciting spectacle for football enthusiasts.
This year’s participating teams include two formidable contenders from the Czech Republic – Hradec Kralove and Sigma Olomouc, Austria’s renowned Austria Wien, and Slovakia’s Spartak Trnava. The diverse lineup promises intense and competitive matches, highlighting the rich football culture across Central Europe.

The tournament kicked off with Matchday 1 – Hradec KrΓ‘lovΓ© vs. Austria Wien and Sigma Olomouc facing Spartak Trnava.
Czech top division side FC Hradec KrΓ‘lovΓ© held FK Austria Vienna in a goalless draw. On the other hand, Sigma Olomouc defeated Spartak Trnava 2-0 as Filip Zorvan converted a penalty to put them ahead and Moses EmmanuelΒ Amasi doubled the score one minute in the second half.
