Birkirkara secured the services of Ghanian twenty seven year old left back Edward Sarpong.

A product of Unistar Academy Colts in Ghana, he moved to Spain where he played for the youths of Real Aviles and Getafe. Later he moved to Portugal to join Portimonense. While in Portugal, he also had spells with Farense, Vendas Novas and CF Esperanca Lagos. Two years ago, he moved to Lithuania to join FC Dziugas Telsiai.

Sarpong is the club’s second signing following the arrival of Andrea Zammit.
