Enemed Futsal League: ZRQ Bormla defeat Swieqi United in direct clash

ŻRQ Bormla won the direct clash against Swieqi Futsal 4-3 to stay in the Enemed Futsal League standings together with Luxol St. Andrews although the latter have a game in hand.

Shortly before the start of the second phase of this competition, this challenge was a very interesting one with Swieqi who started well as they established a three goal lead with the Cospicua side who remained calm and scored four goals which enabled them to turn the score in their favour.

Brayan Stiven, Marcelo Alarcon and Ryan Muscat scored for Swieqi with ŻRQ Bormla turning defeat into victory with goals by Karl Luke Schembri, Jovica Milijic, Karl Sciortino and Jose Rodrigo.

Meanwhile leaders University of Malta ACJ Group made it nine wins in a row as they defeated Sliema Futsal 13-1.

Gia Nikvashvili was the hero for the Universitarians when he scored four goals, Paul Scerri, Zvezdan Vukovic and Raimundo Nonato netted a personal double while Melvin Borg, Stefan Camilleri and Aaron Montebello combined the score for their team. Kevin Sammut scored the only goal for Blues.

Champions Luxol scored an easy 6-0 victory against Ta’ Xbiex.

As expected, the team led by Gabriel Dobre dominated the match, scoring three goals by the end of the first half and another three in the second.

Jhon Anderson, Matthew Attard, Luke Gatt, Emil Raducu and Robert Stoyanov scored the goals for Luxol along with an own goal.

Marsaskala Futsal maintained their progress when they beat the Maltese Under-19 selection 10-3.

Amir Ashtiyani scored three goals while Craig Pickard and Pavlo Bekesha scored two goals each. Owen Duca, Ryan Pisani and Ismael Tabone also put their names on the score sheet. A double by Collin Sammut and a goal by Mason Agius replied for the Under-19s.

Gzira United Santa Margherita registered their first win thanks to a 7-3 win over the Malta Under-18 selection.

Felipe Andres Aguilera Linares was the main protagonist after scoring five goals with Yessous Camilleri and Bernard Sciberras scoring the other two goals for the Maroons.

Charles Emeric Colaud, Brave Azzopardi and Russell Borg scored the goals for the Maltese Under-18 team.
