Malta to play friendly matches against Slovenia and Belarus

The Malta FA announced that the national team will be playing two friendly matches against Slovenia and Belarus in March.

These matches will serve as preparation for the next edition of League D in the UEFA Nations League, scheduled for Autumn, all preceded by the draw for this fourth edition, which is set to take place in Paris on Thursday 8 February 2024.

Malta vs Slovenia – Thursday 21st March 2024 –kick-off time 19:00hrs CET

Malta vs Belarus – Tuesday 26th March 2024 –kick-off time 19:00hrs CET

Slovenia

Malta so far has played Slovenia 8 times, won none, drew one, and lost 7.

Our most recent engagement took place in October 2021 where we lost 4-0 at Ta’ Qali in a World Cup Qualifier.

Belarus

To date, Malta played Belarus 4 times, won none, drew 1, and lost 3.

Our most recent engagement against Belarus was held in February 2008 where we lost 1-0 in Ta’ Qali, a fixture valid for the Rothmans Int Tournament.
