Hibernians secured the services of Brazilian twenty four year old central defender Higor Gabriel Fernandes Alves.

Higor Gabriel started his career at Rio Branco and later played for Fluminense in Brazil before moving to Azerbaijan to join Sabah FK. He later had spells on loan with Dinamo Minsk in Belarus and PFK Lviv in Ukraine.

Hibernians had earlier signed Artem Radchenko.
