Leaders Qormi moved three points clear in Group B of the IZIBET Amateur League as they were held in a 1-1 draw by San Gwann at the Centenary Stadium on Friday. However second-placed Mgarr United have two games in hand.
Syzmon Grzegorz Plocica put San Gwann ahead on the 80th but Jayden Borg equalised four minutes later.
In another match, Vittoriosa Stars and St. George’s shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Dylan Grima put St. George’s ahead on the 14th but Matthew Robert Gauci equalised ten minutes later. Grima restored the lead six minutes in the second half but three minutes later, Shaban Chikh Ali restored equilibrium.
Qormi lead the way with 31 points, followed by Mgarr on 28, Marsaskala 27, San Gwann 25, Vittoriosa 23, Gharghur 22, St. George’s 21, Kirkop 20, Dingli 7, Ghaxaq and Ta’ Xbiex 6.
