Marsaskala joined Mgarr United on top Group B of the IZIBET Amateur League following a 1-1 draw with Vittoriosa Stars at the Centenary Stadium on Friday. Mgarr, however, have two games in hand.

Joshua Micallef put Marsaskala ahead on the half hour but Nigel Spiteri equalised ten minutes in the second half.

St. George’s, on the other hand, defeated San Gwann 4-1 thanks to a brace by Rudy Cassar on the 39th and 43rd and another by Morientes Muscat on the 56th and 60th after Jake Lovegrove had put San Gwann ahead on the 26th.

Mgarr and Marsaskala lead the way with 34 points, followed by Qormi 31, Gharghur 28, San Gwann 26, Vittoriosa and St. George’s 25, Kirkop 20, Dingli and Ghaxaq 7, Ta’ Xbiex 6.
