Narrow defeat for Under-19 side against Albania

Albania scored early in the second half to beat Malta 1-0 in a Under-19 international friendly match at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.

Malta had Jake Azzopardi of Valletta and Kean Scicluna of Hamrun Spartans making their debut along with defender Finley Ging of Boston United and forward Boston Billups of FK IMT Belgrade. Sean Gatt, who plays for Varzim in Portugal was also named in the starting line-up.

Albania scored the all-important goal four minutes in the second half thanks to a header by Denis Prendi off a Ron Hasani corner. 

The two teams will be facing each other once again on Friday.
