Sliema Wanderers defeated Sirens 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.
A match which brought to an end both teams’ Premier League commitments for 2023/24. While Sliema Wanderers finished third and will take part in the UEFA Conference League, Sirens were relegated to the Challenge League.
The Wanderers forged ahead on the 21st minute when Jake Engerer was brought down inside the area; referee Daniel Casha ordered a penalty and Daniil Kondrakov converted from the penalty spot.
Seven minutes from the end of the first half, Daniil Kondrakov increased the lead after lobbing the ball over goalkeeper Andrea Cassar following an assist by Engerer from the right.
Nine minutes in the second half, Neil Frendo increased the lead with a shot from outside the area following a swift counter-attack.
