Hamrun Spartans have appointed Alessandro Zinnari as their new coach. He replaces Luciano Zauri who had turned down an offer to renew his contract at the club.

Alessandro Zinnari led Santa Lucia during the past season after serving at the Malta FA as technical coordinator and head of scouting for three years apart from leading the Malta Under-18/19 national team in the early preparation ahead of the 2023 UEFA Under-19 Championship finals before Toze Mendes took over.

On Friday, Santa Lucia FC announced that the club and Head Coach Zinnari had reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contract.

Zinnari served as assistant head coach with the Under-17 side of US Lecce, before being appointed technical director and head coach of the Scuola Calcio ASD Kolbe Mario Russo under-17 side. He then served as technical coordinator at Universitatea Craiova and member of the senior team technical staff and later as technical coordinator and assistant coach of the Under-19 of US Lecce.
