Hibernians sign Pablo Sanchez, Federico Falcone

Following the signing of Dexter Xuereb earlier this week, Hibernians announced the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Pablo Guillermo Sánchez Niño and Argentine forward Federico Matias Falcone.

Twenty-eight year old Pablo Sanchez played for Polisportiva Cimiano, Giana Erminio and Agropoli in Italy before joining Hamrun Spartans in summer 2020. However in two and a half years with the Spartans, he made just nine appearances.

On the other hand, thirty-four year old Federico Falcone started his career at Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina and later had spells with La Serena, Huachipato, AC Barnechea and Rangers Talca in Chile before moving to Malta in summer 2015. He left the Citizens in January 2017 to join Terenngganu in Malaysia. However later that year, he moved back to Europe to sign for Desportivo Aves in Portugal. The following season, he moved to Boavista but in summer 2019 moved back to Malta to join Birkirkara. He spent three and a half years with the Stripes before returning to Valletta in January 2023.

The Paolites have also confirmed the departure of Ferdinando Apap after five years at the club.
