Busy week for Stephania Bonnici in beach soccer tournament in Italy

The International Beach Soccer Tirrenia 2024 last week not only represented more progress and experience at the international stage for the Malta Beach Soccer Team but also propelled FIFA badge local Beach Soccer official Stephania Bonnici with the opportunity to showcase her qualities in officiating and being involved in a total of ten matches throughout this tournament that took place in Tirrenia, Italy between the 3rd and 7th July.

Bonnici was tasked with officiating in three international matches as the second referee, including the fierce contest between the Baltic rivals, Estonia and Lithuania.

The final for third place saw Stephania Bonnici entrusted as timekeeper in the duel between Romania and Denmark, whereas the final act of this captivating Beach Soccer feast under the scorching Tuscan sun saw Bonnici being tasked with the role of fourth referee as neighbors Italy and Switzerland rubbed shoulders for the top winners’ prize.

This was another box ticked in Stephania Bonnici’s glittering international career so far as a Beach Soccer FIFA referee, in 2022 she has also been appointed to officiate at the Beach Soccer Worldwide Euro Winners’ Cup Tournament.
