Gzira United secured the services of thirty four year old Malta international defender Enrico Pepe.

Pepe has been playing in Malta for the past four years after spending three years with Floriana and last year with Hamrun Spartans.

Pepe started his career with Campobasso and later played for Salernitana, Cassino, Siracusa, Paganese and ACR Messina. He moved to Malta in 2015 to join Floriana and three years later, joined Hamrun Spartans. IN 2019, he signed for Birkirkara where he spent the last five years.

The Maroons had earlier signed Jurgen Pisani, Justin Haber, Kevin Tulimieri and Christian Saint Ebisindor.
