Malta international forward Maria Farrugia will be playing for Sheffield United in the Barclays Women’s Championship this season.

A product of Nadur Youngsters, she played for Gozo FC in competitions organised by the Malta FA. She moved to England in 2018 to join Sunderland but switched to Durham Women in 2022 and Lewes FC Women in summer 2023.
