After sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw in a direct clash during the weekend, Floriana and Hamrun Spartans will be hoping to bounce back with a win on Wednesday as they take on Zabbar St. Patrick and Melita respectively in the two matches from the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round in programme at the Centenary Stadium.
In the first match, Floriana seek their first win this season from the clash with Zabbar.
In fact, the Greens earned two points from two draws, being held in a 3-3 draw by Melita in their first outing. Zabbar, on the other hand, suffered back-to-back defeats to Hamrun Spartans (1-3) and Birkirkara (0-1) but their performances were quite encouraging.
Mattia Veselji is ruled out for Floriana as he serves a one-match ban.
Meanwhile in the second match, Hamrun face the Melita test.
The Spartans had defeated Zabbar St. Patrick but need to be at their best to overcome the challenge offered by Melita considering that the latter earned four points from their first two outings, defeating Marsaxlokk 2-1 during the weekend following the impressive 3-3 draw with Floriana in their first outing.
