Sliema Wanderers will be facing neighbours Gzira United in one of the two 360Sports Malta Premier matches in programme at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The Wanderers are joint-leaders in the table together with Birkirkara after winning three out of the four matches they played, dropping the only points in a draw with Hibernians. In their last outing, they defeated Marsaxlokk 1-0.
The Maroons, on the other hand, lie one point behind them, having won three matches, losing only to Hibernians. Last weekend, they defeated Melita by the odd goal in five.
Meanwhile in the second match, Hamrun Spartans will be hoping to return to winning ways as they take on Balzan.
After winning two of the first three matches and being held in a draw by Floriana, the Spartans suffered their first defeat last weekend, losing 0-1 to Mosta. Balzan lost to newly-promoted side Zabbar St. Patrick 0-2 after earning four points from the first three matches following a draw with Birkirkara, a defeat to Sliema and a win over Naxxar.
