Tarxien Rainbows defeated Marsa 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of the four matches from the BOV Challenge League in programme on Saturday.
James Brincat put Tarxien ahead on the 62nd and although Aslen Kevin equalised on the 66th, Manji Williams notched the winner five minutes from time.
Swieqi United came back from two goals down to beat Santa Lucia 3-2 in another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Azriel Borg put Santa Lucia ahead on the 3rd and an own goal four minutes in the second half put them two goals ahead. However, Swieqi hit back with a brace by Alan Abdel Rahman on the 51st and 63rd and Collins Gyamfi made it 3-2 on the 72nd.
Sirens beat Gudja United 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Hafiz Mohammed Akadom put the St. Paul’s Bay side ahead on the 5th and Gilberto Carrara doubled the score on the 25th. Gudja scored a consolation goal thanks to a Diego penalty on the 90th.
In another match at the Centenary Stadium, Zebbug Rangers and Mgarr United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, goals by Jurgen Suda on the 23rd for Mgarr and Duvan Mosquera on the 43rd for Zebbug.
