Mqabba and Victoria Hotspurs registered their second win in the IZIBET Amateur League 2 on Saturday.
At the Charles Abela Stadium, Mqabba defeated Ghaxaq 5-3. Timmy Thomas put Mqabba ahead on the 11th and Andres Tenorio doubled the score on the 26th. Aaron Agius reduced the gap on the 31st but Tenorio made it 3-1 on the 62nd. Jurgen Gerada scored a second goal for Ghaxaq on the 70th but Saturday Nanapere and Andre Joe Cutajar extended the lead with goals on the 79th and 85th. Jurgen Gerada converted a penalty two minutes from time for Ghaxaq.
Goals by Dejan Bogdanovic on the 6th and Emmanuel Mbong on the 20th handed Victoria Hotspurs a 2-0 win over Kalkara United at the Sirens Stadium.
In another match, goals by Clayton Borg on the 2nd and Jacob Vincent Magri on the 81st handed Siggiewi a 2-0 win over St. George’s at the Charles Abela Stadium.
