Marsaxlokk FC announced that Vincenzo Potenza has been appointed as their new coach. He replaces Winston Muscat with whom the club had parted ways by mutual agreement earlier on Tuesday.

However, the following season, he stepped down in December 2020 but was re-appointed as coach two months later. Potenza spent season 2021/22 with Marsa in the Challenge League and in November 2022, he joined Santa Lucia, leading them to secure their Premier League status. Last October, he joined Valletta but stepped down in February.
