National Amateur Cup: Comfortable win for Qrendi

Qrendi registered a most comfortable 6-2 win over Kirkop United at the Centenary Stadium as the Round of 32 of the National Amateur Cup got underway on Friday.

Gianfranco Micallef put Qrendi ahead after just four minutes and although Giovanni Galea equalised on the 11th, Leo Fernandes restored the lead on the 16th and four minutes later, Isaac Abela scored the third goal. Giovanni Galea reduced the gap for Kirkop on the 75th but Leo Fernandes made it 4-2 on the 86th with Gianfranco Micallef and Brandon Bray scoring two goals in added time.

In the Round of 16, Qrendi will face Gharghur or Zebbug Rovers.
