Marsaxlokk and Floriana shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in a match from the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Monday.
The Southseasiders, therefore obtained a third consecutive positive result following the arrival of coach Enzo Potenza and now lie third from bottom on the seven-point mark, one behind Balzan and one ahead of Naxxar Lions. Floriana, on the other hand, maintain their unbeaten record but fail to keep the pace with leaders Birkirkara as they now lie six points behind the Stripes and one ahead of Sliema Wanderers.
Marsaxlokk managed to take the lead on 25 minutes when off a cross by Enmy Pena Beltre, Alex Tanque controlled the ball before hitting the ball past goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi.
However on 65 minutes, Floriana notched the equaliser when off a cross from the left by Fernandinho, Franklin Sasere controlled the ball before serving Dunstan Vella who slotted the ball past goalkeeper Marko Drobnjak.
