Santa Margerita achieved the biggest win on match day 1 of the Enemed Women’s Futsal League after beating Iklin 8-0.

They were very aggressive from the start with the opposing defence starting to find it very difficult at some moments.

Audrey Chetcuti, Kirsty Paris and Edera Marmara scored two goals each with Nicole Zemoz and Darya Attard scoring the other two goals.

Zero Sei beat Swieqi 3-2 in a very exciting game. Although Swieqi surged ahead, Zero Sei performed a good reaction and turned the score in their favour to get the first three points of the season.

Michela Felice put Swieqi on top but a hat-trick by Andrea Alonso turned the score in favour of Zero Sei. Elisa Esik’s own goal reduced the gap for Swieqi.

Mtarfa turned defeat into victory after beating Parr Mela 4-2.

It was Parr Mela who went ahead through Carol Salazar but Marcia Santos equalized for Mtarfa. The same player scored two more goals in order to complete a hat-trick with Parr Mela scoring another goal through veteran player Maria Coppola. Demi Magrin added another for Mtarfa.
