Gzira United came from behind to beat Balzan 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday to leave them anchored at the bottom of the table in the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round Bottom 6.
In fact, Balzan now lie three points behind Naxxar Lions and four behind Zabbar St. Patrick and therefore with one game to go for the end of this phase, Balzan will definitely be one of the two bottom teams and candidates for the relegation play-offs.
Following a goalless first half, Jan Busuttil put Balzan ahead on 71 minutes. However Gzira equalised five minutes later courtesy of Faysal Chouaib and eight minutes from time, Thaylor notched the winner.
