Birzebbuga St. Peter’s keep marching on in the IZIBET Amateur League 1 as they defeated Attard 2-1 at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.
Luqa St. Andrew’s moved third in the IZIBET Amateur League 1 as goals by Nathan Frendo on 43 and Bydasser Sammut on 48 minutes handed them a 2-0 win over Mellieha at the Centenary Stadium on Monday. In another match, Gharghur and Marsaskala shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Christopher Galea put Marsaskala ahead on 42 minutes but Nestor Luis Silva equalised on 77 minutes.
Birzebbuga lead the way with 28 points, followed by Vittoriosa on 25, Luqa 24, San Gwann 23, Xghajra and Attard 21, Qrendi and Qormi 18, Mellieha and Kirkop 12, Pembroke 9, Zejtun 5, Gharghur 4, Marsaskala and Rabat 3, Msida 2.
