Hibernians and Birkirkara were the first two teams to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the Meridianbet FA Trophy after emerging as winners in two matches from the Round of 16 on Tuesday.
At the Gozo Stadium, Hibernians defeated Gozitan side Qala Saints 3-0.
Lucas Villela put the Paolites ahead after just five minutes and five minutes from the end of the first half, the same player doubled the score. Alex Bruno sealed the issue with a third goal four minutes in the second half.
At the Centenary Stadium, Birkirkara defeated Challenge League side Fgura United 3-0.
Paul Mbong put the Stripes ahead on 7 minutes and Donovan Makoma doubled the score ten minutes later. Alex Satariano made it 3-0 on 52 minutes.
