Five Premier League players suspended

Five players were suspended by the Malta Disciplinary Commissioner on Tuesday following the weekend’s matches from the 360Sports Malta Premier.

Luis Riascos (Gzira) was banned for three matches while Khevin Fraga (Hibs), Henrique Marcelino Motta (Melita), Joao Teixeira (Mosta) and Jean Borg (Sliema) were suspended for one match.

Marsaxlokk assistant coach Erdal Karaman was banned for four matches.

In the BOV Challenge League, Lee Pisani (Fgura), Dale Mifsud (Gudja), Leighton Mifsud (Marsa), Joseph Zerafa (Mgarr), Eric Mensah (Mtarfa), Jean Borg, Leonardo De Bortoli and Ryan Mercieca (Sirens), Deacon Abela and Matthew Spiteri (Swieqi), Duvan Mosquera (Zebbug) and Xylon Portelli (Zurrieq) were all handed a one-match ban.

Lija official Colin Ciantar was banned for two matches while Terence Formosa of Sirens was suspended for one match.

In the IZIBET Amateur League, Nick Ghio (Attard), Fred Kessie (Luqa), Joseph Chetcuti (Marsaskala), Marc Bolane Adoonis and Iven Zammit (Mellieha), Kurt Farrugia (Pembroke), Edward Falzon (Rabat), Dario Borg and Cedric Zahra (Xghajra) and Miguel Aquilina (Zejtun) were suspended for one match.

Xghajra official Keith Darmanin was banned for two matches and Zejtun official Jurgen Abela was banned for three matches.

Sean Ellul (St. George’s) was banned for one match in the IZIBET Amateur League 2.
