Holders Sliema Wanderers were drawn with Hamrun Spartans in the quarter-finals of the Meridianbet FA Trophy as the draws were held on Thursday.

Last year’s finalists, Floriana, were paired with Mosta. Birkirkara take on BOV Challenge League leaders Valletta while Hibernians face Naxxar Lions.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for March 4 and 5.

Meanwhile in the semi-finals, the winner of Birkirkara/Valletta will face the winner of Floriana/Mosta while the winner of Hamrun/Sliema will face the winner of Hibernians/Naxxar.

The semi-finals are scheduled for May 10 and 11 with the final expected to be played on May 17 and 18.

To reach this stage, Birkirkara defeated Balzan 2-1 and Fgura United 3-0 while Valletta beat SK Victoria Wanderers 4-0 and Gzira United 1-0 after extra-time.

Floriana eliminated Xewkija Tigers 2-0 and Victoria Hotspurs 4-1 while Mosta beat Marsaxlokk 3-0 and Qrendi 4-0.

Hamrun Spartans beat Swieqi United 5-0 and Zabbar St. Patrick 2-1 while Sliema beat Ghajnsielem 8-0 and Marsa 4-0.

On the other hand, Hibernians beat Zebbug Rangers and Qala Saints with identical 3-0 scores while Naxxar defeated Melita 4-2 after extra-time and Zurrieq 4-0.
