Hibernians bounced back from last week’s heavy defeat to Zabbar St. Patrick as a brace by Lucas Villela handed them a 2-0 win over Mosta in a match from the 360Sports Malta Premier Closing Round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.
The Paolities move in joint-third place on twelve points, two behind Floriana and Hamrun Spartans. Mosta, on the other hand, suffered their fourth defeat in this round to remain on the nine-point mark.
Lucas Villela opened the score on 16 minutes when off a cross from the right by Federico Falcone, he controlled the ball before slotting past goalkeeper Anse Ngoubi Demba.
Eleven minutes in the second half, Villela doubled the score as he beat the Mosta goalkeeper with a shot from inside the area, following a cross from the left and an assist by Falcone.
