Women’s Under-19 national team earns point in draw with Latvia

Malta recovered well from the heavy defeat to Kosovo in the first match of Group B3 of the 2025 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship Round 2, earning a point in a 1-1 draw with Latvia at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Malta got off to an excellent start taking the lead on 8 minutes thanks to Lara May Azzopardi. However three minutes in the second half, Latvia equalised courtesy of Paula Dzene.

On Monday, Malta takes on Kazakhstan, kick-off at 11:00. Kazakhstan lost 1-3 to Latvia on Tuesday and 1-2 to Kosovo on Friday.
