Malta was drawn in Group B5 along with Sweden and Lithuania in the 2025/26 UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship round 1 draw which was held on Thursday.
Hosts will now be appointed for each mini-tournament, to be played by 2 December.
The 21 teams in League B, including the sides relegated from League A in 2024/25 round 2, will play for promotion to League A in six groups. The group winners and the best runner-up will be promoted. Northern Ireland will take part even though their finals place is assured as hosts.
League A round 2, drawn on 11 December and to be completed by ahead of the 25 March finals draw, will decide the seven teams joining Northern Ireland from 3 to 16 May.
