Marsaxlokk FC signed Congo thirty-one year old international goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi.

French-born Mafoumbi started his career with Lille OSC and RC Lens at youth level and also played for US Le Pontet in France before a spell with FK Vereya Stara Zagora in Bulgaria and one with Free State Stars in South Africa before moving to the UK where he played for Blackpool and Morecambe. In October 2020, he moved to Malta to join Mosta, leaving the club in summer 2022. He signed for FC Differdange 03 in Luxembourg but last summer moved to FC Noah in Armenia although he was released in January. Last summer he joined Floriana.
