Hamrun Spartans secured the services of Brazilian twenty nine year old right back Rafael Petrilio Compri.

Throughout his career, Rafael Compri played for Sao Carlos, URT, Pouso Alegre, Uberaba, Uberlandia, Porguguesa Santista, Paulista, Tabate, Sao Jose, Gremio Prudente, Uniao Suzano, Gloria, Sertaozinho, Caravaggio FC and CE Gramadense.

The Spartans had earlier appointed Giacomo Modica as their new coach and signed Junior Djile with Steve Borg, Mattias Ellul, Mayron, Roko Prsa, Elionay, Mihael Klepac, Talison and Raphael Lopes, not retained or moving elsewhere.
