Valletta secured the services of Brazilian thirty-four year old goalkeeper Adilson Aguero dos Santos.

Adilson Maringá played for Rondonópolis EC, Bosque Formosa EC, Sociedade Esportiva do Gama and Mogi Mirim EC in Brazil before moving to Portugal where he played for CD Pinhalnovense, Desportivo das Aves, SC Beira-Mar and UD Vilafranquense. In 2021, he moved to Indonesia to join Arema FC and two years ago, moved to Bali United

The Citizens, who have confirmed Thane Micallef as their coach, had earlier agreed new deals with goalkeeper Timmy Aquilina and Zachary Cassar but James Scicluna, Peter Xuereb, Ayrton Attard, Neil Tabone, Christian Gauci, Enoch Mushagalusa, Enzo Ruiz, Aidan Friggieri and Jefferson Ferreira were not retained.
