Another successful edition of Enemed Futsal Awards

The Futsal Malta Association successfully organized the Enemed Futsal Awards Night where several players and officials were rewarded for season 2024/25. The event also saw Mr Laurent Morel, UEFA Futsal Competitions Manager, attending the event as guest of honour and highlighting the progress he saw locally during the past few years.

In the coaches category, Zvezdan Vukovic was selected as best Premier League Coach, Kieran Bugeja as best Challenger League Coach, and Jackie Abdilla as best Women’s League Coach. 

Moving to players selection, Giancarlo Sammut won the best Maltese Player Premier League award after his return to the domestic league with Ta’Xbiex Futsal. Collin Sammut clinched both the best Maltese Challenger League player and also the Most Promising Futsal Player award, ending his season on a high note. League debutant Leanne Micallef clinched the best Maltese Player Women’s League awards whilst also bagging the Top Scorer Women’s League award after finishing the season with 13 goals.

Ezequiel Alarcon of Swieqi United Futsal LECO7 topped the Premier League Top Scorer award after netting an impressive 24 goals in the league with Hamza Harrat of Hamrun Futsal topping the Challenger League Top Scorer with 14 goals.

Meanwhile guarding the posts, the best goalkeeper awards went to Clint Mifsud of Luxol St Andrews in the Premier League, Matthias Borg of Hamrun Futsal in the Challenger League, and Rachelle Borg of Lija Athletics in the Women’s League.

The event culminated with the best Foreigner Player awards where Jefferson Breno of Luxol St Andrews was awarded for his performances in the Premier League, Gia Nikvashvili of Hamrun Futsal in the Challenger League, and Eliza Csik of Zero Sei Futsal in the Women’s League.

Finally, Mark Zammit, captain of the Maltese National Team and Luxol St Andrews won the President’s Awards after recognising his brilliant career and contribution he gave to the futsal community.
