Valletta continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Spanish-Angolan winger Brian Thaylor Lubanzadio Aldama.

Thaylor started his career at Danok Bat and later played for Celta Vigo, SD Eibar, UD Logrones, Real Union, Caudal Deportivo, CD Basconia, Coruxo FC and Portugalete before moving to Malta in summer 2021 to join Hibernians. Two years later, he moved to Gzira United where he spent the last two years

The Citizens, who have confirmed Thane Micallef as their coach, had earlier signed goalkeeper Adilson Maringá, Mattias Ellul, Yannick Yankam, Shaft Brewer Jr and Emmanuel Mbende and agreed new deals with goalkeeper Timmy Aquilina, Zachary Cassar and Andrea Zammit but James Scicluna, Peter Xuereb, Ayrton Attard, Neil Tabone, Christian Gauci, Enoch Mushagalusa, Enzo Ruiz, Aidan Friggieri and Jefferson Ferreira were not retained.
