Hamrun Spartans signed Italian twenty six year old defender Vincenzo Polito.

Polito played for Juve Stabia, Frattese and Castelvetro at youth level before joining ACR Messina. He then joined Juve Stabia from where he had two spells on loan at Gela. He was then transferred to Cavese and eventually moved to Castertana and Monterosi. Later, he played for Potenza, ACR Messina and SPAL, having a spell on loan at lecco.

The Spartans had earlier appointed Giacomo Modica as their new coach and signed Jonny Robert, Matias Garcia, Domantas Šimkus, Rafael Compri, N’Dri Koffi and Junior Djile with Steve Borg, Mattias Ellul, Mayron, Roko Prsa, Elionay, Mihael Klepac, Talison, Cesar Menachio and Raphael Lopes, not retained or moving elsewhere.
